The Chinese telecommunication company giant, Huawei has said in the past its contingency plan to create its own operating system. That expected to be ready whenever permanent block from American firms Google and Microsoft software.

On Thursday, one of Huawei's top executives said that its operating system is expected to be ready by the fourth quarter of 2019. Its version availability outside of the country estimated either in the first quarter or the second quarter of 2020.

According to Richard Yu, Huawei's consumer business CEO, the company still operates with Google's Android and Microsoft Windows. However, if it's no more available for their devices, they've prepared a "plan B" and use their own operating system (OS).

If the Chinese tech isn't allowed to operate with Android, it greatly damages their devices not having Google Play Store used by the consumer to download apps.

Meanwhile, Yu said their company's own app store called the "App Gallery" is available on its OS. As of now, App Gallery is on Huawei's devices, but the Google Play Store is mostly the default application store used by consumers.

The Chinese tech company's executive pointed out that their own OS will roll out if American tech firms, Google and Microsoft, permanently block the company.

According to Neil Shah, research director at Counterpoint Research, There are various challenges ahead of Huawei's own OS. One, the company needs to create software that will have a user experience that matches Google's "collection of apps." Two, the company's creation of secure apps.

Furthermore, the company faces issues regarding its secure critical components. On Wednesday, SoftBank semiconductor firm Arm said it suspends its business with Huawei. Arm provides Huawei's own processor in its smartphone device called the Kirin 980.

The device's processor needs to work compatible with the OS system of the devices.
